Presentation

A presentation can have as much, if not more importance than a business plan to an investor. It is essential to understand the considerable difference between an Investor Presentation and a Client Presentation.

A successful presentation always will focus on the interests of the audience. Specifically, an Investor Presentation should address the benefits to the investor, generally ROI. A Client Presentation should focus on how the product or service can most benefit the client. In an effort to simplify the preparation, TradeWind Ventures has created several PowerPoint templates, both for investor presentations as well as client presentations. In addition, we can critique your presentation, create personalized presentations, and coach the presentation team.

Primary questions an investor asks:

What is the product/service and is it unique in some fashion?

How large is the potential market and what are the barriers to entry?

How capable and experienced is the management team?

What are the projections and are they realistic?

What is my potential ROI and when will that be realized?

What is the exit strategy?

Is the risk worth the reward?

Goal

The goal is to answer these questions in 30 slides or less, in 30 minutes or less. More is not necessarily better. Don’t worry, if investors are interested, they will ask more questions, but first you have to capture their interest and not overwhelm them with details.
